A Message from the President
As the president of the North Texas chapter of ASIS&T, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the spring semester! I am thrilled to serve in this position and to work with the rest of the NTASIS&T leadership team.
We have been busy in preparation for the semester. Our goal for this year has been to allow your membership in ASIS&T to not only connect you with the world of information science internationally but to bring you closer to the members of our North Texas information science community. We hope that through our organization, students can connect to their colleagues as well as faculty members with similar research interests. We are eager to bring you a number of events including socials, speaker events, and our multidisciplinary symposium. This spring, we are proud to organize the Multidisciplinary Information Research Symposium and hope to see you there on April 26th.
Of course, our chapter members also have access to all of the perks of belonging to our parent organization including access to ASIS&T publications, free webinars, discounts on official ASIS&T events, and access to the ASIS&T Career Center. ASIS&T membership also allows you to join special interest groups based on your particular information science interests, linking you to academics and professionals across the globe.
We hope that your semester is off to a strong start and that ASIS&T can be a part of your academic support system.
